Paris Fashion Week is starting, and here is a good excuse to talk about something we care about almost as much as dogs.

What they wear :)

Not in a tiny-jacket-and-sunglasses way.

More in the sense that a collar is often the one thing a dog wears every day, so colour, pattern, proportion and finish actually matter.

And right now, UK searches around luxury dog collars, autumn colours, tartan, and dog collar and lead sets are all pointing in the same direction: dog accessories are being treated a little more like fashion.

Well….we approve!

Here is what that looks like without turning the morning walk into a runway.

1. Autumn colour does not have to mean brown

The shift into autumn usually brings deeper colours back into wardrobes.

Dog accessories can do the same thing.

A green dog collar can feel rich and earthy without being overly seasonal. Pink can work surprisingly well against autumn neutrals. Reds, blues and warmer tones can add contrast when everything outside starts becoming a little more muted.

The point is not to find an official “colour of the season”.

Choose a colour that works with your dog’s coat and the things you already like wearing.

Because yes, your coat and their collar are sometimes in the same photograph.

2. Pattern is doing the work

One of the reasons we like patterned collars is that they can change the whole look without adding anything else.

Tartan is a very obvious autumn example. Searches for tartan dog collars are rising, but the broader idea is more interesting: people are looking for accessories with more visual personality.

A pattern can feel graphic, playful, classic or slightly unexpected depending on the colours around it.

And unlike a seasonal dog jumper, a good patterned collar does not have to disappear again in November.

That is the sweet spot: enough personality to feel intentional, without looking like a costume.

3. “Luxury” is less about logos than finish

Searches for luxury dog collars are rising too.

But luxury does not have to mean an oversized logo or something your dog suddenly needs insurance for.

For us, it is more about the details.

How the hardware feels.
How the pattern is finished.
How the collar sits.
Whether the colours feel considered.
Whether something practical can still look good after being worn every day.

Good design should survive contact with the actual dog.

That part is fairly important.

At Fur Sie, we use lightweight custom metal hardware and double-sided woven patterns because the functional details are part of the design, not something we try to hide.

4. Matching is back, but not too matching

A dog collar and lead set immediately makes a walking setup feel more intentional.

That does not mean every piece needs to be identical.

Matching can mean the same print. It can also mean one patterned piece paired with a coordinating colour, or a collar and lead that simply feel like they belong in the same world.

Think less “uniform”.

More “outfit”.

It is the same reason an owner does not need shoes, bag, belt and coat in exactly the same shade to look put together.

Dogs get the same rule.

5. Small accessories are doing more

Fashion has always understood that small details can change a look.

Dog accessories are not very different.

An ID tag has a practical purpose. A charm does not, and that is perfectly fine.

A small decorative charm can make a collar feel more personal without requiring an entirely new setup.

If you like the idea, just remember that a decorative dog charm is not a replacement for an ID tag. One is there for personality, the other has an important job to do.

6. A trend is only useful if your dog can actually wear it

This is where dog fashion has to depart from human fashion.

A collar still needs to fit.

A lead still needs to feel secure.

A harness still needs to allow comfortable movement.

There is no point choosing the perfect autumn dog collar if it is too tight, too heavy or simply wrong for the dog wearing it.

Style gets to come after that.

Luckily, it does not have to come very far after.

So, what is actually worth following?

Not every trend.

The useful ones are the ones that make an everyday object feel a little more considered.

A better colour.
A print with personality.
Hardware you actually like looking at.
A collar and lead that work together.
One small detail that feels like your dog.

That is enough.

Our take

Fashion Week will move on quickly.

Your dog will still need a walk tomorrow morning.

That is why we like dog accessories that borrow something from fashion without becoming fashion-only objects.

Colour. Pattern. proportion. Details.

Things that make something practical feel less ordinary.

Because dogs wear one thing.

It may as well be a good one.
